LaSertoma International Sponsorships

Scholarship & Memorial Programs
Grants are awarded each year to students completing work on a graduate degree (Masters or PHD) as well as to the high school graduate just entering college.

Else A. Neilsen Memorial Scholarship
Provides an additional $1000 to the top rated S&M selectee

Marguerite C. Leander Memorial Nursing Scholarship 
Restricted to  deserving student pursuing higher education in the field of nursing.

Rose Runzler Memorial Scholarship Program 
 A $500 scholarship awarded to a visually handicapped student who has completed or in the process of completing a Bachelors Degree and has declared intent to continue graduate study leading to professional competence, such as education, law, etc.

LaSertoma International Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund was established to provide additional revenue for Scholarship and Memorial programs.

The Sertoma Foundation of Canada
Joint sponsorship of Sertoma and LaSertoma Clubs in Canada that raises funds (approximately $100,000 each year) to assist those with impaired hearing. Membership is open to LaSertoma club members in the United States as well as Canada.

Youth Volunteer Clubs
Young persons through the age of 19 may participate in these programs under the sponsorship of a LaSertoma Club

Youth Campership Program
Adopted in 1987 as the Diabetes Campership Program to identify LaSertoma with a national problem that affects young and old alike. Program expanded in 1997 to include youth camperships of all types.

Youth Service Award Programs.
 Designed to seek out young people who are setting a pattern of leadership and service in their local communities and to recognize and reward these efforts with a citation.. It is also designed to inspire and encourage other youths to emulate these recognized leaders.

Nancy Pratt Literacy
Clubs are encouraged to identify and support projects that will enhance reading ability for persons within their community. Projects may include such events as placing reading material in medical waiting rooms, tutoring children or adults in basic reading skills, or hosting a book sale.  

Children's Hospital - Love from LaSertoma
Clubs are encouraged to identify and support needs of patients in the local Children's Hospital or Hospital Children's Wing.
